The Fort Bragg Garden Club promotes gardening that provides both beauty and food production, develops environmentally responsible civic beautification projects that include wildlife-friendly native plants, and fosters the exchange of information, ideas, and projects with the greater community of gardeners.

Through educational workshops, informational talks, and public garden maintenance, we work to enhance local landscapes, protect natural resources, and create pollinator-friendly habitats for birds, bees, and other wildlife.

Whether you’re looking to learn, volunteer, or connect with fellow gardeners, there’s a place for you in the Fort Bragg Garden Club.

FAQs

  • No. Everyone is welcome to attend open meetings. We typically have one guest speaker on a specific topic, followed by the club business meeting.

  • Our regular meetings are every month from September through May, with other opportunities like plant sales and public garden beautification. See the calendar for details.

  • Our monthly meetings are at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Bragg at 367 South Sanderson Way, on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:30.

    There are on-site tours, volunteer opportunities, and other activities, so be sure to check the calendar.

  • Meetings start with some light snacks and lively mingling, followed by a speaker. Guest speaker topics fall in line with our mission and have included drought-tolerant gardening, native plants, wildfire home protection, and garden art projects. Here are our annual programs.

  • We expect that most members enjoy gardens and want to learn more about some, or many, aspects of gardens and gardening. No experience necessary!

  • We welcome gardeners of all experience levels. As a seasoned gardener, you’ll have the chance to connect with others who share your passion, engage with local affinity groups, and explore a wide range of topics.

  • No. Club membership represents the Mendocino Coast, and we have visitors from neighboring towns and distant cities alike.
